The EMB Supplementary Guidance for Returning Officers on Delivering Elections in a Covid-19 Context has been reviewed and updated.
In preparation for the series of by-elections in late 2020 the EMB setup a Working Group to draft supplementary guidnce to support ROs in delviering safe elections for voters, candidates, agents and staff. This was reviewed and updated following the experience of those by-elections and discussions with Public Health Scotland and Directors of Public Health in preparation for the Scottish Parliament Election in May 2021.
With the experience of those polls, developing understanding of the virus and its control, the guidance has again been reviewed and updated. The current version is available for download from the 2022 downloads area. The guidance itself is here.
